Jonathon Shaw
Managing Director
Jonathon started Web-Services.com Ltd in 2004, after previously managing a software support office for 5 years. Jonathon has expertise in planning, creating and rollout of complex Website projects. However, in his capacity as Owner / Manager, Jonathon is heavily involved in each project to ensure tight management and complete customer satisfaction is achieved.
Jonathon's ability to optimise sites for companies to achieve high ranking internet searches will be testified to by customers who have requested ongoing support contacts.
Paul Swainson
Technical Director
Paul is a server system specialist with over 19 years experience in both consulting and building multi-platform server technology. He has experience in Microsoft, Linux & Unix systems. Paul has worked on several high profile network implementations / migrations for schools, in particular, Microsoft Windows, server technologies, security analysis and data management.
Paul has managed and implemented the migration of an RM single server environment to a multi server role with over 1,000 students and 130 staff at an IT specialist school in Northants.
Gareth Downes-Powell
Web Developer
With over 25 years programming experience, Gareth works with a number of different languages, specialising in PHP / MySQL and Adobe Flash / Flex for Web Development, and Microsoft Visual Basic.net and C++ for application development.
In his spare time Gareth worked as a member of Team Macromedia Dreamweaver, providing official technical support to Dreamweaver users until Macromedia was taken over by Adobe. As well as writing articles for a number of UK Internet Magazines including Web Designer Magazine, he also co-authored four books covering Dreamweaver, PHP and Business Intranets for the Wrox / Apress brands.
Frank Shaw
Engagement Director
Frank joined Web-Services.com Ltd in May 2007 from Parson Consulting where he was an Engagement Director. Previously, he was a senior consultant with Atos KPMG and prior to that an independant consultant for over eleven years.
Frank's main expertise is in delivering improved performance drawing on his experience in Finance and IT line and management roles in blue chip companies and his 15 years of consultancy work. Frank has in depth experience of implementing business performance measurement and achieving change and buy-in.
